Have you heard the news? Main Street America has a new platform to tell the stories of Main Street’s small businesses and entrepreneurs. The podcast, Main Street Business Insights, follows Main Street America’s Chief Program Officer, Matt Wagner, Ph.D., across the country as he sits down with downtown and neighborhood entrepreneurs to explore their stories.
Released weekly on Wednesdays, the podcast offers practical insight into how guests started down their path, how they keep going, and the roles they’ve taken in their community. These valuable stories are useful for entrepreneurs at any stage, as well as Main Street leaders tending to their community’s economic ecosystem.

With an anticipation of 10 episodes for this first season, there are five currently available to listen to now. They range from conversations with a grain grower in Maine, a leader of an Entrepreneurial learning lab in Chicago, to the team of The Barbershop Conversation podcast who are sharing local news and current events of their hometown of Goldsboro, Florida.
These inspiring stories illustrate a breadth of experience and a range of examples of what it can look like to run a small business. This tool is just one of the Economic Vitality tools available from Main Street America. Other resources include Grow with Google digital coaches for rural businesses and Where It Starts: Breaking Barriers to Business initiative, which works alongside Living Cities to accelerate wealth-building pathways for business owners of color.
Main Street Business Insights is available on most podcast platforms such as Spotify and Apple podcasts.
