Downtown Lynchburg Association (DLA) was awarded a prestigious Downtown Achievement Award of Excellence for the Hill City Eats cookbook by the International Downtown Association (IDA). As defined by the IDA, this award recognizes an “excellent response to an urban place management challenge, demonstrating the application of industry knowledge and exceeding the jury criteria.”
The Hill City Eats cookbook reflects the diverse and delicious food scene of Downtown Lynchburg, featuring recipes from 35 of the district’s beloved restaurants. The cookbook goes beyond the recipes to paint a picture of downtown through the lives and stories of the people behind these iconic Lynchburg dishes.
The IDA is an industry-leading member network of place management leaders worldwide. Their mission is to connect and empower place management leaders with knowledge, research, and public policies for creating prosperous city centers, commercial neighborhoods, and livable urban places for all.
We congratulate and celebrate DLA on this great achievement!
