Martinsville’s local Main Street program, Uptown Partnership (UP), is currently recruiting for their first executive director! UP is a newly-formed, stakeholder-led historic commercial district revitalization organization that follows the National Main Street Center’s (NMSC) time-tested Main Street Approach to attract investment and renewal in Martinsville, VA. The organization’s active board has been very successful in securing support from the community, including the city and county governments, but it’s time for a passionate economic revitalization professional to help lead UP to greater heights!
The chosen candidate will maintain a strong and diverse background in Main Street principles, project development, community planning, and relationship building. They will serve as the principal on-site staff person responsible for coordinating all program activities and volunteers, as well as representing the community regionally and nationally.
