Luray’s local Main Street program, Luray Downtown Initiative (LDI), has begun searching for a new program director! As a Main Street America™ Accredited program, LDI is a recognized leading program among the national network of more than 1,200 neighborhoods and communities who share both a commitment to creating high-quality places and to building stronger communities through preservation-based economic development. In 2016, Meredith Dees (right) was hired as LDI’s program director, and after four years, she has chosen to vacate the position to explore other opportunities and allow for a new person to take on the role, bringing new ideas and a fresh perspective. Dees will remain in her position through the new year to help train her replacement and create a smooth transition between directors.
