Deadline Extended: Submit Your Session Proposal for the 2022 Main Street Now Conference

Have you implemented an impactful local project you’d like to share with the Main Street network? Do you have insight on trends in local economics, placemaking, or housing solutions? There’s still plenty of time to share your session ideas for the 2022 Main Street Now Conference because the deadline has been extended to August 27, 2021!

Alongside the Virginia Main Street (VMS) program, Main Street America (MSA) encourages all those interested to submit a session proposal for next year’s Main Street Now Conference in Richmond, Virginia! Sessions will focus on three thematic areas and perennial downtown and commercial district management topics guided by the Main Street Approach are also welcomed. Keeping them in mind as you craft your proposal, the three thematic areas are:

  • Main Streets for the New Economy
  • Community Preservation and Expression
  • Housing and Small-Scale Development

Sessions can range from 30-Minute Tactical Solution Sessions that present a case study or concept in a clear, quick format to 45-Minute Crash Courses that speak to larger trends. Others could include 75-Minute Classroom Sessions with up to three panelists and a moderator or Deep Dive Sessions that provide in-depth explorations of a topic.

Beginning to envision strategic opportunities to strengthen and expand commercial districts as communities emerge into a new economic future, the 2022 Main Street Now Conference will prove to be the perfect setting to gather together and celebrate community resilience and reinvestment!
