The Town of Farmville’s local Main Street program, Farmville Downtown Partnership (FDP), seeks a dynamic and highly motivated individual to serve as the organization’s new executive director and assist the organization’s board of directors, committees and volunteers, as well as the greater community, in the achievement of the FDP mission:

The mission of Farmville Downtown Partnership is to connect residents, merchants, property owners, visitors, and students in order to preserve and enhance the downtown’s role as the hub of our unique historic community, and continue to invigorate Farmville as a fun and profitable place to live, learn, conduct business, invest, and visit.

Farmville, Virginia is the Beat of the Heartland, where community, cuisine, arts and culture, outdoor adventure and entertainment intersect to form an attractive, fun and connected downtown. FDP, an Advancing Virginia Main Street (AVMS) organization, works diligently to bolster the prosperity of the community’s historic downtown district and improve quality of life for residents and visitors alike through strategic economic vitality and design initiatives, unique promotional and marketing opportunities and by ensuring the non-profit organization effectively leverages local, regional and national resources to support key stakeholders.
