The Governor’s Summit on Rural Prosperity will be held on October 12-13, 2022 in Smithfield, Virginia! Hosted by the Virginia Rural Center (VRC), a joint venture of the General Assembly’s nonprofit Center for Rural Virginia and 18-member Rural Prosperity Commission, this summit will bring together local, state and private sector representatives from across Virginia to discuss innovative initiatives occurring in rural communities and solutions to challenges faced by the state’s less-densely-populated regions. While an agenda and list of keynote speakers has not yet been released, registration is open for this year’s summit.
