The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development’s (DHCD) Virginia Main Street (VMS) program will hold a Mobilizing Main Street (MMS) Tier Program “How-To-Apply” Webinar next month on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. till 12:15 p.m.

Through grassroots leadership and a commitment to holistic preservation-based economic development, you and your downtown champions can create lasting impact for your local economy and community as a whole. The vision for the MMS Cohort is Communities Positioned for Economic Opportunity. The program provides capacity building services to prepare participating communities for the responsibilities of Advancing Virginia Main Street (AVMS) designation and maintaining organizational capacity and Main Street America Community Accreditation. 

The webinar will walk attendees through the application procedures and requirements. Participants should come prepared with a basic understanding of the Virginia Main Street (VMS) program. Please check out the VMS Program Guidelines for additional information.
