The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is announcing a new program and will host a how-to-apply webinar for the Mixed Use on Main Street (MUMS) grant/loan program on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 10 A.M. – 11 A.M.

For those interested but unable to attend the live webinar, a recording of the how-to-apply presentation will be posted to the program’s website. 

DHCD is excited to announce a pilot program called Mixed Use on Main Street (MUMS)! The goal of this new program is to catalyze the activation of vacant or underutilized downtown spaces to create opportunities for commercial development and housing units in state designated Main Street districts. This program is funded by the Industrial Revitalization Fund (IRF) and made available to communities that actively participate in the Virginia Main Street (VMS) program.

The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) will be conducting a How-to-Apply Webinar for the Mixed Use on Main Street (MUMS) Program. During this session, DHCD staff will offer a review of the program design, funding availability, the application process, and additional information.
