Strategic thinking, volunteer resource management and managing your financial picture are all challenges of running a successful nonprofit organization.  They’re also titles of courses offered through Virginia Commonwealth University’s Nonprofit Learning Point (NLP) educational program.  In 2009 the program celebrates 13 years of empowering organizations to become more effective and efficient in achieving their goals.   

Nonprofit Learning Point is a kinetic, community-based educational program that offers high quality, relevant and affordable courses in all aspects of nonprofit management. We’re talking a $45 registration fee for a two day course lead by instructors who are experts in the field. Course offerings change every semester, but the program continually offers classes in financial management, fund development, communications, volunteerism and leadership in the nonprofit sector, among others.
