Recently, Governor Northam announced that four Exploring Main Street (EMS) communities will be awarded Community Vitality Grants (CVG) to support projects aimed at revitalizing historic commercial districts, expanding small businesses, and growing local economies. The following EMS communities will receive CVG funding:
- Town of Halifax | Transforming Spaces into Great Places: Halifax Downtown Connections | $7,000
- Nelson County | Economic Vitality Support: Lovingston Market Study | $7,000
- City of Petersburg | Main Street Petersburg | $7,000
- Town of Pulaski | Pulaski Pocket Park and Mural Project | $7,000
